'Een beetje duur' — great use of 'een beetje' to soften it.

Fun fact: in casual Dutch you'd often hear 'best duur' (pretty expensive) instead. Both work!

Other words in the same family:

• een gezellig avondje — a cozy evening (very common phrase)

Try using 'gezellig' in a sentence about something from your weekend?"
